Lake Buhi at Dusk

On the news the other week was a report of volcanic activity and fissures on the crater of Mount Asog or Iriga.  This is the very same mountain that you will see to your left when you step out of the gate of our home in Buhi.  On our side of the mountain, the crater had been totally blown off by its eruption in the sixth century which reportedly caused the formation of the Buhi Lake.  The pictures I have posted were taken when I was home for your grandmother's wake and burial in September 2011.
